TO THE E-MAIL MENTORING PROJECT
Metropolitan
Minority Outreach is currently piloting an e-mail mentoring project with MEP
grads that are first year students at the University of Minnesota. The goal
is to create a communication link to students on the various campuses. Students
participating in this will receive information about internships and full-time
opportunities at the companies, which sponsor Metropolitan Minority Outreach.
MEP (Multicultural Excellence Program) students from St. Paul high schools
particpiated in a gathering of their peers at the University of Minnesota
in September 2001. At that event, the MMO e-mail mentoring project was launched.
