Connections Count 2002 Highlights

We are extremely excited about Connections Counts program. In one short year, the program has grown 100%. In 2002 there were two corporate sponsors, forty students and forty mentors exchanging emails on a weekly basis. Now in 2003, there are eighty mentors eighty students interacting through Connections Count.

During the first face-to-face session students and mentors have lunch at the Interdistrict Downtown school and the second session the students visited their mentors at work for lunch and are invited to go on tours so they can learn about the various work environments. Special thanks to Shondria Cullers, Anne Gomez, Mary Macaulay, Pat Nelson and Stanley Brown for their hard work making this a very successful program. Additional thanks to Kari Klemish for having the insight to involve the MMO Board.
